Sleek Face Contour Kit

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!
Its amazing!
It took me two weeks to find a drugstore in London which actually stocked the light shade so now that I have it, it feels much more special :)

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light

Ive been dying for a good, decent contouring kit to start my makeup artist career off with, and now I have it (well, only in the light shade so far!)

The kit comes with a contouring powder and a highlighting powder. I love the texture of the products, and they really are easy to use. Here are the swatches:

That was just a once over with the product and then swiping it on my arm, so as you can see the highlighter is pretty good!! Of course you'd have to blend it in quite well but it is very easy to work with.
The contour powder is matte which is excellent, there shouldn't be any shimmer in a product your using to create a contour as the light reflecting shimmery bits will bring out parts of your face instead of concaving them.

Love love loveeeeeeee <3

MUA Undressed Eye Shadow Palette

My sister showed me this eye shadow palette which she bought from Superdrug in the UK for £4 and I had to buy one myself and test it out!

The MUA Undressed Palette

I have already heard alot about MUA, apparently its quite good for the price. There are a few other palettes with different colours but I figured this one had the colours I would use the most.

It comes with an applicator (shown above) which I normally dont use but if you do its double ended which is good if your planning to do a smoky eye, one side for the dark colours and the other for light.
There are three matte colours which are not as pigmented as the other shimmery shades but are still nice eye shadows.

Swatches from top right onwards.

The eye shadows are all nice to touch. They are soft creamy feeling eyeshadows which blend very well. If you use a good primer I imagine they would last all day.
I think I will be going back to Superdrug before I return to Australia to look at the other palettes they sell :)

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Ive heard and read alot about this foundation, and it seems that it is well loved.
I had reallllly high expectations when trying this foundation because of this and have a few different thoughts about the product.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I like the packaging and I have to admit I did not realise that it was a squirty bottle and was spooning out the product using the tube!!!! I felt so stupid when I discovered the pump! HAHA!!
First thing I noticed is that it says that it has an anti-fatigue effect and radiant glow. This would be useful considering I do shift work and always look a bit tired :(
When I opened the bottle I could smell the foundation, I think its quite refreshing to have a foundation that has a fruity smell rather than nothing! My sister said that she didnt like the smell and it smelt like an airplane toilet, I wish airplane toilets smelt like this foundation but I admit its not as good smelling as I thought it was going to be.

The foundation itself is so easy to apply to the skin. I do use a brush to apply my foundation but I did try using both my brush and my hands and either or its still easy to apply.
It has this nice moisturizing feel to it making my skin feel and look soft and dewy (maybe not the best word to use but cant think of any others!) but I dont know about anti fatigue! Im blessed with dark circles and the foundation is buildable but theres no covering these circles with this foundation without a little help from a concealer!
There is a slight shimmer to this foundation, only seen when the product is in contact with light which Im guessing is where the radiant glow comes into it.

Dont get me wrong, overall I LOVE this foundation!! It agrees with my skin, leaves it soft all day and makes my face look radiant. I dont think its as great as I thought it was going to be, but I will be repurchasing it once I run out of this one.

I bought this one from Superdrug in the UK for £6.99, I believe in Australia it is roughly $15.

Review: Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment

I LOVE this oil spray treatment:
Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment

My lovely mummy gave me this spray as she did not find it useful, so I did not have the highest hopes that it would be much better on me!
But much to my surprise, my often dyed dry hair soaked up the oil like there was no tomorrow! I love the smell as well and it lingers in my hair for a while.
I use the spray on wet brushed hair before blow drying. Previously my hair was going a bit AWOL and was very frizzy after blow drying so when this product actually WORKED (unlike so many other products) I was so happy :)
I also love how its a spray and not a serum as those are always touch and go with me, I always seem to put too much! haha! And then theres no going back!
But with this spray, its light and you stop before you go too far with the oil.
Ive been using it for about a month now and I am not even half way through it. I will be repurchasing this product!!

Review: MAC Hepcat and MAC Mulch

Yay more MAC eyeshadows!!!!!

From left to right: MAC eyeshadow in Hepcat and MAC eyeshadow in Mulch

Hepcat: Frost eyeshadow

I really do enjoy hepcat, I thought that it would have been more purple but it is according to my swatches, pink!! I think if you build it up it can be a light purple shade but because it is a frost, the swatch in the picture above was done with 7 swipes and you can see it still is very pink. But its a beautiful glittery colour and I like it all over the eyelid or as a crease colour!

Mulch: Velvet eyeshadow

I cannot express how much I love Mulch! Its so soft, and velvety and easy to work with. The swatch above is just one swipe across the eyeshadow so as you can see its very pigmented. I LOVE doing gold smokey eyes with Mulch and it makes a great crease colour too. I would recommend this eyeshadow to everyone but it is quite a deep colour and shimmery so maybe not the best for mature or deep set eyes? If Im wrong let me know! :)

Review: Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish

I love this nail polish, I actually have more of them but these two are my favourite.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Clear and Coralicious

Firstly, when the cap says 1 sec application, they mean 1 sec application! Its great how easy it is to apply and it literally takes around a minute to do both hands. I dont normally need more than a coat but they do look better with a couple of coats.

Wearing Coralicious with Clear as a top coat.

They last well without chipping, I prefer them to any other nail polishes Ive tried recently, including the OPI sample mentioned below. I think I will be growing my collection :)

Lust Have It! June Edition

Ok I know Im a month late again with this post and have been a bit slack! But I am trying :)

I was sooo happy when I saw a purple bag this month, different to the blue one I got last month:

Firstly, there is this cool little gagdet:

Shade & Line 3 in 1 by Bloom

This is quite nice, I was actually surprised when I took the caps off! It features a crayon pencil, I have the blue one with glitter, a smudging tool and a eyeshadow wand, mine is silver metallic.
I have seen these in Target, and have wondered if the brand was any good. Ive tried the eyeshadow and its quite good! The eyeliner does not seem to sit well on my waterline, maybe its just me but when I looked in the mirror 5 mins after applying it, it was nearly gone!

Lola by Marc Jacobs sample and L'Eau de Chloe by Chloe sample

I dont care what anyone says I love receiving these little perfume samples in my monthly bag! Lola is an amazing fragrance, It says that it have red grapefruit and pink peppercorn in it, whatever it is its amazing <3 wish I could afford the actual product because the bottle is amazing too!
L'Eau de Chloe is also amazing of course, I think everyone knows how lovely Chloe perfumes are I dont really need to say anything! This one is very floral but subtle and not overpowering.

LonVitalite 24K Active Golden Yulan Oil Facial Mask and Gold Full Eye Mask

Im so excited to try these! Im saving them for this saturday, before getting dressed up for an awards night :) They are so squidgy, when I use them I will miss squeezing the packages! I can only imagine how nice they will feel on my face :)

Batiste- Blush Dry Shampoo

Strangely enough, the day before I received my lust have it bag, I was in the local shop searching EVERYWHERE for some dry shampoo and could not find any whatsoever. So I was so relived when I received this handy little bottle which fits nicely in my handbag :) Always good, dont think I really need to say anything about this one everyone knows how amazing it is! Works like magic ;)

Purple Smurple

So when I wrote below that I love dark purple nail polishes, when talking about the nicole by OPI nail polish sample, I couldnt have been more disappointed when I put the nail polish on for the first time!

Theres nothing wrong with the colour, its just not as dark as I thought it would be looking at the bottle. (please excuse my manky nails!)

After one coat of nail polish.

The nail polish is very opaque after the first coating, which is fine, most nail polishes take a good few coats to look good. But after using barry m nail polishes for a while now ive become used to not even needing to do another coat!

After three coats of nail polish.

So after the third coat I decided that it looked good enough. I did get a few compliments on the colour throughout the day so that was nice.
However, I havent tried OPI nail polishes before, but this particular one does not last long. I painted them during the evening and did nothing but watch tv until bed. When I woke up in the morning they were already chipped! Not impressed!
They did survive intense hand washing at work, but did not last a night out in the city.
Let me know what you think of OPI nail polishes :) xx

Lust Have It! May Edition

I know this is a bit late but here is what I received in my May Lust Have It bag:

Firstly I love how it comes in a bag and not a box! Its a beautiful bright blue colour and Im hoping they wont come blue every month.

Dirty Soap by Lush

This soap smells anything but dirty!! It says that it contains spearmint, sandalwood, pine and oakmoss.
Whatever it is, it is amazing! Its a large soap as well, doesnt feel like a sample size though I imagine you probably could get a larger one if you went to Lush (correct me if Im wrong!). It has small little sparkles in it though I havent noticed any sticking to my skin.

Nicole by OPI Ultimate trend setter's lacquer
(Does not have a name or number)

I havent actually tried this nail polish yet!! Oops! So I cant give it a proper review but it looks divine. I have a fetish for dark purple nailpolish so Im sure I will love it :)

Babor Platinum Cell Reactivating Cream

This is a 'rich day and night cream to strengthen the skin barrier and re-balance moisture/lipid content'. Im not too sure about this one, I dont know whether it will do what it claims, buttttt it costs $285 for 50mL so perhaps I shouldnt be so quick to judge! Let me know if anyone likes this product.

Showface Professional Makeup
(Does not have a name or number)

As you can see from the picture Ive swiped my finger over the eyeshadow a few times to see what quality it is as it is described as 'creamy, long lasting, easy to use and intense colour payoff'. It definatley feels creamy! I quite like it, Im not too sure about the colour but at the moment I dont really have a matte brown eyeshadow so it is welcome to join my eyeshadow collection!

Roberto Cavalli Eau de Perfum

Mmmm... love this perfume!! It smells lovely! It says it is 'an intense oriental floral based on notes of orange blossom, symbolizing Italian femininity, sensuality and extravagance.' wow! haha and it definately smells exactly like that description.

De Lorenzo Elements Ocean Mist Sea Salt Styling Spray

A full sized product! Yay! Now this spray seems amazing, but Im currently trying out some other hair products so I am yet to try it. It says to mist onto wet or dry hair and to create a messy look or to enhance natural curls. I dont have natural curls but I do like the messy look! haha..
It contains sunflower seed cake and sea kelp to condition and nourish, yum :P

Anyways Im sure the June Lust Have It pack will be out soon, ;) so I will try and update that one as soon as I get it
:D <3

Review: Mineralism and Naked Lunch

Ive been trying out two new MAC eyeshadows I bought online: Naked Lunch and Mineralism.
I think Mineralism has been discontinued (if Im wrong please let me know!), but it is still available on some websites!

Mineralism, A silvery/light taupe lustre eyeshadow

I love this lustre eyeshadow from MAC. It is very sheer but when applied on top of other eyeshadows, or as a highlight, it looks beautiful! If your not into shimmery eyeshadows then this is definately not for you!  It works great with smokey eyes and if you have really deep set eyes like myself, it can take away a bit of the depth when used in the inner corner of the eye.

Naked Lunch, A light pink golden eyeshadow

I have heard mixed reviews about this eyeshadow so was a bit nervous waiting for it to arrive in the mail, but I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I love this eyeshadow!
I think it depends on your skin tone and how you use the eyeshadow to be honest with you. It seems to enhance my eyes and works as a great base colour, if Im after a shimmery base instead of a matte one.

Overall, very pleased with these two eyeshadows!
